Freedom In Christ Scriptures

As believers in Jesus Christ, we often talk about the concept of "freedom in Christ". This term is based on assorted Bible scriptures that emphasize the idea that we have been set costless from the bondage of sin and last under the law, and that we can now live a life of liberty in Christ. The freedom we experience in Christ is not just a spiritual concept, but a hardheaded world that impacts every area of our lives.

Understanding Freedom in Christ Scriptures

We discover the concept of freedom in Christ is root in several key scriptures. Galatians 5: 1 states, For freedom Christ has set us gratuitous; stand firm, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery. This emphasis on freedom in Christ is not limited to just one or two scriptures, but is a theme that is woven throughout the New Testament.

Scriptures that Define Freedom in Christ

The Bible teaches that we are gratis because we are no longer under the law. Romans 8: 1 says, There is therefore now no disapprobation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The law of God is a musing of God s holiness, and when we break this law, we incur guilt and deserve judgment. However, in Christ, we are acquitted of all charges and have peace with God.

Another key scripture that highlights our freedom in Christ is Romans 6: 14, which states, For you are not under law but under grace. We are no thirster slaves to the law, but are now servants of God under the rule of grace. This means that we live accord to the principles of the Spirit, not according to the principles of the flesh.

Galatians 3: 28 tells us, There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. In Christ, we find a religious equality and freedom from all external factors that could enslave us. We are not subject to the limitations of our birth, nationality, or societal status.

Examples of Freedom in Christ

There are many examples of people who have see their freedom in Christ, evidence the power of His love and grace. In the New Testament, we read about people like Alaska and Lydia, who were Gentiles (non Jews) who have Jesus as their Messiah, despite the objections of their Jewish brethren. The Early Church proceed to thrive because it was made up of people from different backgrounds and cultures.

Another illustration of freedom in Christ is Acts 16, where Paul and Silas shared their faith with the Philippian Jailer, who ultimately accept Jesus as his Lord.
